New ground comprises of the following members:
- Dr. Marylee Rhodes
- Mary Lee Rhodes (B.A., M.Sc., MBA, Ph.D.) is the Director of the Undergraduate Business programme and Assistant Professor of Public Management at Trinity College, Dublin. In her 17 years in Ireland she has published widely on housing systems, social housing, complex systems and public management. Prior to coming to Ireland, she was with JP Morgan bank for 13 years in various roles in operations, finance and technology. She is currently the Deputy Director of Trinity Haus - a research centre engaged in innovative solutions for buildings, neighbourhoods and cities, and is also involved in research and management in the non-profit sector as a principal investigator in the Centre for Nonprofit Management. She has been a member of the Board of Directors in several non-profit housing organisations in Ireland, including Cluid and Simon Communities, and is currently on the Board of the Housing Finance Agency and a member of the Interim Regulatory Committee for AHBs in Ireland. She completed her PhD in Public Management at Trinity College in 2008 and her MBA at Wharton, Univ. of Pennsylvania in 1990. She also has an MSc in Systems Analysis from the London School of Economics and a BA in Economics from Yale University.
- David Murphy
A stonemason by trade, David Murphy is a serial entrepreneur. David has started up numerous small businesses over the years and has been recognised by the South Dublin Enterprise Board as a runner-up in business of the year in 1999 for innovation in Childcare in The Lodge Group Montessori School and Crèches. In 2005 David purchased and remodelled a number of residential properties that have been let to clients including RAS. In 2007 David pursued a certificate in Interior Design and received runner up in designer of the year, and had his work displayed at The Family Show in the RDS. David came to Newground after seeing how family displacement can affect children’s welfare and education. He feels passionately about their psychosocial development and feels if families have stability in their home and a strong network in the community it is better for a child’s development. David has a wide background in service and development and brings huge energy to Newground.
- Adrian Eggers
- In 1986 Adrian commenced his working life within the IT sector. He travelled to Germany and spent 3 years working for Nixdorf Computer as a programmer. From here is moved to Buckinghamshire in England to work for Saab Great Britain. He moved away from the programming side into client management. In 1994 EDS (Electronic Data Systems) who were owned by GM (General Motors) took over the IT department within Saab and as of a results of this Adrian transitioned over into EDS. In 1995 he was able to move back to Ireland with EDS and commence work as the Account Manager for Opel Ireland. In 2000 Adrian then went on to manage the service delivery of IT within FLS Aerospace at Dublin airport followed as the Client Delivery manager for SR Technics at Dublin and Stansted airports. In 2007 Adrian took leave of absence from his 21 year career within the IT sector to take on a 2 year National Higher Diploma in Garden Design. In 2010 he started up his company Living Designs Landscapes. In 2013 Adrian along with two other friends successfully designed and built a show garden in Ireland's Bloom Festival, which went to acheive a Silver Gilt medal. Through his garden and landscape works on commercial sites he has seen the many troubles and sadness on the street of Dublin. His philosophy is that if many people help and volunteer the seed of change can be sown
